Acercamiento a la obra

“Mi obra se enmarca en la vida de la mujer, desde una mirada personal. El inconsciente gesto inicial de tallar una matriz, diferentes estados de impresiones fueron topándose con experiencias cotidianas, con los roles que nos tocan –como mujeres- sentir, aprender, representar, rebelarnos y rechazar -también-, en una sociedad como la nuestra, rígida, que impone formatos, de ser y hacer.  En dónde la ruta al éxito esta pintada de oro, en dónde no existe cabida a otros mundos femeninos posibles, en donde estamos forzadas a aceptar valorizaciones, como si fueran verdaderas, eternas e inmutables que además, en la educación formal, niegan nuestra sabiduría interna. Demasiada emoción es histeria, enfermedad o menstruación. 

Las etapas de vida, los talleres, los países, las personas, fueron dando poco a poco, forma y color a las imágenes que hoy comparto con ustedes. Esto despertó la esperanza acerca de mis propias posibilidades de transformación y de aquellas fuerzas creativas que en todas nosotras habitan, y que son inmensamente inagotables…”

“My work is focused on life of women, from a personal point of view. In the unconscious gesture of carving an initial matrix, different states and moods were encountering everyday experiences with the roles that we, as women, play , feel , learn , represent ,rebel ; but also ,   reject when we live in a rigid society  , like ours , that imposes formats to be an do .This is a society where the route to success is painted of gold, where there is no place to other possible feminine worlds, in which we are forced to accept valuations as if they were true, eternal and unchangeable. Besides, through formal education, we are denied our inner wisdom. Too much emotion is considered hysteria, sickness or menstruation.The stages of life, the workshops, the countries and people were, little by little, giving shape and color to the images that today I share with you. All this, made me feel hopeful about my own possibilities of transformation and being owner of those creative energies that inhabit in all of us and that are inexhaustible…"
